The Official JPA Web Bunker

Mission and Goals

The mission of the JPA is to promote safe and responsible participation of young adults at PGI conventions, to encourage and organize interesting and entertaining activities that will allow and motivate our members to make a constructive contribution to PGI conventions, to educate young adults about fireworks and their use, and to stimulate membership growth.

The JPA presents a show that is designed, set up, and fired by the youth. Our goals in this area are to provide young adults with leadership opportunities and a way to creatively express their ideas in pyrotechnics under the watchful eye of the PGI.

Goals for 2004-2005 Year

We must improve our communication throughout the year. To achieve this goal, we have accomplished a few things:

We re-established our web site at http://geocities.com/ juniorpyrotechnics/ and recently purchased www.juniorpyros.org

This web site contains the history, mission statement, joining information, bylaws, and contact information of the JPA. It also contains the member forum and chat room. This site will be updated for the new 2005-2006 goals. Members are encouraged to take a larger role in the planning and brainstorming on this new medium.

The current officers have are working on making folders for each office that can be passed down at each election. The folders will contain documents that give the new officers an idea of the job they are expected to do and what past officers have done.

Other Goals

Update the Bylaws shown on the web site. The current web site does not reflect the current bylaws due to a breakdown in communication. We would like to have the updated version of the bylaws so that members can have current information.

Improve our fireworks display by building on previous shows and member experience as well as building funds.
